Top Pirates

Win a sea battle and your crew share the beaten ship’s treasure in gold doubloons. These are the captains and crews with the biggest hoards.

Doubloons are game treasure for bragging rights. They are not WT$ or Wolf Credits and cannot be bought, sold or cashed in.

The board

Every doubloon ever won.

No booty has been won yet.

Sail out at The Caribbean, switch your ship’s battle mode on and beat a pirate or another captain to be the first name here.

How booty is won

Win the battle

A ship is beaten when she strikes her colours (her bow, stern or a side is shot through) or is holed and sinks. The ship that did her the most damage takes her prize.

Battles are fought on The Caribbean, between ships with battle mode switched on.

The prize

40 doubloons, plus 8 for every gun the beaten ship’s class carries: a 10-gun sloop is worth 120, the 36-gun frigate 328, the 74 632. An NPC pirate ship is worth half as much again, because she carries her plunder.

Shares

Everyone sitting aboard the winning ship shares the prize. As in the pirates’ own articles of 1724, the captain who gave the order to fire takes two shares and every hand one.

Another ship that did at least a fifth of the damage in the last 5 minutes earns an assist for her crew.

Fair play

  • No booty for your own ships, ships of linked accounts, or ships of accounts under 3 days old.
  • An empty ship carries no treasure. A pirate ship always does.
  • From the same captain’s ships: once every 30 minutes and 3 times a day, or once a day if you are friends.
  • Up to 3,000 doubloons and 30 prizes in any 24 hours (600 while your account is under 3 days old).
  • Losing never costs you doubloons. Your ship is raised and repaired 2 minutes after she settles.
